New York (eTruePolitics) – The baseball world was surprised this morning when Donald Trump demanded the Tampa Bay Rays place him on the team’s active 40 man roster for Game 2 of the American League Division Series against the New York Yankees. Trump declared the Rays “losers” after they fell 9-3 to the Yankees in Game 1. The current president promised he would be in the starting lineup for Game 2 on Tuesday.
“I’m feeling great and playing center field and batting cleanup tonight,” Trump declared in a tweet. “I know I speak for all Floridians that last night’s game was a disgrace. It will NOT HAPPEN AGAIN!!, I can promise you that.”
“I’m concerned that the president’s bone spurs could act up if he tries to play tonight,” commented Ray’s skipper Kevin Cash upon learning of Trump’s plans.
When he read Cash’s comments, an angry Trump told aides he would use an executive order to immediately replace Cash as Ray’s manager with Russian President Vladimir Putin, sources told eTruePolitics.
“A lot of people don’t know baseball was invented in Russia,” Trump said in explaining the move. “Trust me, Vladi will manage the game as good as I’ve managed the CoVid-19 crisis.”
