Washington (eTruePolitics) – Tulare, CA, birthplace of Rep. Devin Nunes, the Presidential Medal of Freedom Award-winning chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, today unveiled a new town plaque mocking their infamous native son.

“America needs to know that awards to the contrary Devin Nunes is a disgrace to Tulare and its citizens,” said a city spokesman, who requested anonymity because he feared for his life.

A group of pro-Nunes demonstrators protesting the plaque was broken up by Tulare police. “Neither of them had their hearts in it,” said a bemused SWAT team officer.

“My small soul was touched by the support I have received from the community,” an emotional Nunes told reporters in Tulare. “No one spat on me all day.”

“Tear ducts? Who knew?” said a longtime Nunes aide.
