Washington D.C.; Chaotown, Hongtucky, China (eTruePolitics) – “Chao Bourbon,” the first distilled liquor from the newest Chinese province Hongtucky (formerly known as “Kentucky”), was introduced today by co-owners Mitch McConnell and wife Elaine Chao at a gala press party at the Trump International Hotel in Washington.

Asked if she found any irony in choosing Washington, D.C. as the venue to introduce a bourbon made in Hongtucky, Chao said, “The less time I have to spend in Ken … I mean Hongtucky, the happier I am.”

Hongtucky, the former U.S. state known as ‘Kentucky,’ was recently sold to the Chinese and quickly re-named as the 24th province of the People’s Republic of China. The sale was engineered by McConnell, who resigned from the U.S. Senate hours before the press conference announcing Chao bourbon.

Apparently after enthusiastically dipping into her eponymous beverage, Mrs. McConnell admitted she used the Chao bourbon as an aphrodisiac. “You’ve seen my husband, right?” Chao rhetorically asked journalists, many of whom failed to stifle their chuckles.

“Elaine’s comments are very hurtful,” former senator McConnell said in a formal statement.
