Washington (eTruePolitics) – Distraught about his epic loss in the 2020 U.S. presidential election, a humiliated Donald Trump is said to have ordered aides to book him a one-way ticket on January 20th to the tiny Italian island of Elba, according to sources close to the White House.
The Elba idea may have come from Sen. Lindsey Graham, “possibly as a joke,” an aide told eTruePolitics.
The Graham Elba ‘joke’ may have gone over the president’s head since Elba was Napoleon Bonaparte’s first place of exile after a disastrous invasion of Russia effectively ended his rule.
“Mr. Trump’s not big on history, or reading,” explained the aide who was said to be concerned that Trump would be angered when he learned of the Napoleon/Elba connection. The aide lamented that Trump’s anger might increase when he finds there are no direct flights to Elba requiring him to change planes in Pisa.
Another frustration for Trump with Elba could be the language. “Wait until he hears they speak Italian on Elba,” said a source. “Other than ‘pizza,’ his Italian is pretty limited so ordering food could be an issue.
“But the good news is Elba has killer weather in January.”
