Atlanta, GA  (eTruePolitics) – A federal appeals court ruled yesterday that beleaguered Senator Lindsey Graham must appear “sober” before an Atlanta special grand jury that is investigating efforts to overturn Donald J. Trump’s election loss in Georgia.

The sobriety order was called “unfair and un-American,” by Graham’s press spokesman Squigg Lee Biskett.

“Old Lindsey always needs a sip or two,” said Biskett, a 79-year-old retired bourbon distiller who denounced Fani T. Willis, the Fulton County district attorney who sought Graham’s testimony, as a “radical prohibitionist succubus who hates men and distilled spirits.”

In a brief statement to reporters outside his Senate office a subdued Graham said he hoped that at least his testimony, which will be scheduled after the November 8 election, could be held on a Sunday.

“I don’t drink on Sunday; never have,” Graham said.
