Story update: On Trump’s 100th day in office, thousands of activists across the country took part in People’s Climate Marches, prompting the following tweet from the current president: “Send a message. Join the Flat Earth Society TODAY!!”

Seven days ago Trump signed an Executive Order making April 22nd ‘Flat Earth Day.’ Our original story:

Washington (eTruePolitics) – In a bold domestic policy reversal that reportedly “shocked and dismayed” leaders of the National Science Foundation, Donald Trump today signed an Executive Order proclaiming April 22nd as ‘Flat Earth Day.’

Since 1970, April 22nd has been celebrated by millions of people around the world as Earth Day.

Asked about the apparent conflict, White House press secretary Sean Spicer said the current president was “very, very busy” and couldn’t be expected to “keep up-to-date on every little calendar nuance.”

The EO was quickly heralded by Environmental Protection Agency administrator Scott Pruitt. “The President as decider-in-chief has decided that the earth is flat,” Pruitt explained. “So, obviously, that’s a fact.”

In a related story, a source close to Trump said the president, long a critic of NASA, was seriously considering designating July 20th as ‘Fake Moon Landing Day.’

“Mr. Trump thinks space exploration is a total crock,” explained the source, who requested anonymity because  he feared for life. “When space comes up he always says the same thing: ‘One giant leap, my ass.'”
