Washington, D.C. (eTruePolitics) – Paul Ryan abandons the Trump ship. The only question remaining for Republicans is will there be enough lifeboats?
“Women and children first?” scoffed Ryan to reporters at the publication party for “Oops, My Bad,” a book that was “crashed” after Ryan signed a contract following Hurricane Dorian.
“That’s not the captain Trump I know.” Ryan was even more plain spoken in his book. “It’s not everybody who can ignore their conscience for as long as I did,” writes Paul Ryan the preface to “Oops, My Bad: How I Helped Destroy Democracy, The United States, Millions of People and The World As We Knew It.”
It’s been an open secret that the extended Ryan clan has been “shocked” at the former speaker’s silence and abject fealty to a man the family regards as an American disgrace.
“My overweening ambition led me to support a traitorous, unbalanced and despicable human being,” Ryan writes in the book’s preface. “I helped a monster. And I am ashamed.”
“‘Oops, My Bad’ makes me want to hurl,” gushed White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham. “And I don’t vomit that much.”
