Washington (eTruePolitics) – The American Lemming Society today named Rep Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) its “Man of the Year” for 2023. The announcement was made by the Lemming’s honorary new president, Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville. “Kevin is like a six-star general,” said Tuberville, a former Cub Scout in his native Arkansas.
“Encouraging Republicans to blindly leap off precipices made choosing Kevin as 2023’s Man of the Year in July an easy call,” added Tuberville, a former football player and coach.
McCarthy, reportedly deeply moved by Tuberville’s praise, had a hard time processing the honor. “Six stars??? That’s one more than I expected,” said McCarthy before joking, “I’m gonna have to let ol’ Tommy win some of our Checkers games.”
