TRUMP’S FLAG PIN USE BEING INVESTIGATED FOR VIOLATING EMOLUMENTS CLAUSE
Washington (eTruePolitics) – “I’m the most patriotic president ever and I don’t get enough credit for it!” an agitated Donald Trump told Fox & Friends host Steve Doocy in a Friday morning interview.
“I have MORE FLAG PINS THAN ANYONE!,” Trump thundered to a perplexed Doocy. “I got them from my Chinese partners, great price!”
White House press secretary Sarah Huckleberry Sanders denied that Trump’s profligate use of flag pins violated the Emoluments Clause of the U.S. Constitution which makes receiving gifts from a foreign government a crime.
“The flag pins were not gifts,” said Sanders. “The president, who is the greatest businessman the White House has ever known, negotiated an amazing deal.”
Sanders angrily denied that Chief of Staff John Kelly advised the current president to “reduce” the number of flag pins on his suits. “Mr. Trump doesn’t need anyone’s help about anything,” said Huckleberry-Sanders.
