flag-pin

Washington  (eTruePolitics) – In an angry crack-of-dawn tweet, current president Donald Trump raged against accusations that his profligate use of Chinese-made flag pins violated the Emoluments Clause of the U.S. Constitution which makes receiving gifts from a foreign government a crime.

“I have MORE FLAG PINS THAN ANYONE and I DON’T GET ENOUGH CREDIT FOR IT,” Trump wrote in his tweet.  “NOT GIFTS! I got them from my pal Secretary Xi, great price!”

White House press secretary Sarah Huckleberry Sanders said Trump’s flag pin use “did not violate anything.”

“The flag pins were not gifts,” added Sanders, echoing Trump. “The president, who is the greatest businessman the White House has ever known, negotiated an amazing flag pin deal that benefits all Americans, even though he’s the only one who gets to wear them.”

Sanders angrily denied that former Marine General and Chief of Staff John Kelly recently advised the president to “reduce” the number of flag pins on his suits.

“Mr. Trump doesn’t need anyone’s help about anything,” said Huckleberry-Sanders.
